Josephine Co. Cooperative Weed Mgt Area

June 14 2008 volunteers
June 14 volunteers

Many agencies come together in Josephine County to implement Cooperative Weed Management.

A group of agencies have been meeting regularly to improve working relationships and increase coordination on noxious weed issues.  They have developed a Declaration of Cooperation and are asking interested agencies to sign on in support of this effort; see the declaration below.

Purpose

The purpose of the Josephine Cooperative Weed Management Area is to promote effective control of invasive weeds in Josephine County through increased cooperation and communication of interested agencies, organizations and individuals.  The Josephine CWMA will create a forum to consider the big picture or landscape scale of invasive weeds.

Thank you to all the volunteers who braved the elements for the annual weed pull event at Tom Pearce Park.  And special thanks to the sponsors who provided raffle prizes and support, etc.
